NOLAN RYAN NR34 & NR34 ELITE

NR34

The NR34 Synthetic Turf System takes innovation to the next level with its A/B blended fiber design, combining the best characteristics of two fiber types to deliver a superior playing experience. This advanced blend provides the perfect balance of durability and softness, mimicking the look and feel of natural grass while maintaining exceptional resilience under heavy use.

NR34

This series introduces the world’s first tufted fabric with a 3-end-per-needle design, enhancing both performance and appearance. The 3C “Triple Coverage” system increases face yarn visibility, showcasing vibrant colors while providing over 50% more yarn above the rubber infill to keep your field looking newer for longer. Built with a durable 14,000-denier system and exceptional split resistance, it improves sliding comfort, ball roll, bounce accuracy, and overall durability, making it a reliable choice for high-performance fields.

Inspired by a Legend,
Built for Players.

Nolan Ryan’s career stands as one of baseball’s most remarkable chapters. A true workhorse, Ryan wasn’t just a pitcher—he was a force of nature. Over 27 seasons, he dominated hitters with a blazing fastball and unrelenting competitive fire. The numbers are staggering: 5,714 strikeouts, seven no-hitters, and unmatched longevity.

But what truly set Ryan apart wasn’t just the stats—it was his grit. The “Ryan Express” owned the mound with old-school toughness. He pitched through pain, through eras, through changes in the sport, and left behind a legacy that’s about more than records—it’s about excellence and the love of baseball at its purest.

PARTNERSHIP WITH RS3 TURF

This partnership is guided by Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan and RS3 CEO Reid Ryan, leaders who bring decades of experience and success both on and off the field. Following his playing days, Nolan transitioned into leadership roles, founding RS3 and serving in executive positions with the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros.

Reid Ryan, as Astros President of Business Operations, played a key role during one of the franchise’s most successful eras, highlighted by a 2017 World Series championship and a 2019 American League pennant. Reid also led the development of Houston’s Spring Training facility in West Palm Beach, Florida, and its Class A affiliate in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Before joining the Astros, he built two of Minor League Baseball’s premier franchises, the Round Rock Express and Corpus Christi Hooks, from the ground up. Together, Nolan and Reid Ryan bring a legacy of innovation, excellence, and leadership to every project they undertake.

For over a decade, RS3 Turf has been a trusted partner for professional, collegiate, high school, and youth sports organizations, offering unparalleled expertise in athletic surface management. We bring over 25 years of expertise to the diamond.

Our synthetic turf fields are engineered to deliver consistent, high-performance surfaces that enhance the game at every level—from professional stadiums to local little league.

Our Testing

Infilled artificial turf systems require precise blending and distribution of materials to ensure consistent performance, safety, and reliability. Our sports-lab tested system, verified through independent third party testing, focuses on four key categories: pace, bounce, coefficient of friction (COF), and coefficient of restitution (COR). Backed by trained technicians and proven traceability, we deliver fields that perform consistently, protect athletes, and elevate the game.

Our Quality

At Sporturf™, we design turf systems that deliver exceptional resilience, comfort, and safety while maintaining peak performance. Engineered to withstand the demands of athletes and the rigors of play, our durable fibers are built to last for years. Safety and performance are at the core of our product development, ensuring a surface that athletes can trust.

PACE

Pace

Pace determines how a baseball interacts with the surface. It shows how fast or slow the ball is traveling through the surface once on the ground.

BOUNCE

Bounce

Ball bounce determines how high the balls bounce off of the synthetic turf and is captured with a high-speed camera.

COEFFICIENT OF FRICTION

Coefficient of Friction

COF measures how the ball impacting the surface will impart topspin. Balls exiting with high topspin will move downward faster so they will not travel as far as balls exiting with low topspin.

COEFFICIENT OF RESTITUTION

Coefficient of Restitution

COR determines how the ball interacts with the surface after impact. It is the amount of energy absorbed by the surface, thus slowing the ball down.
